Located in the heart of the Laurel Highlands and conveniently close to Somerset, Johnstown, and Ligonier, and just 60 miles from Pittsburgh, Green Gables offers decades of experience in providing first-class service for special occasions. For intimate gatherings or lavish affairs on a grand scale, Green Gables is uniquely suited to memorable events for parties of 2 to 400.

Indoors

Green Gables Restaurant offers five areas which can be used together or individually depending on the size of your affair or the atmosphere you would like to create.

Three Terrace areas overlook the beautiful grounds and a natural waterfall. These spaces are perfect for dining or for small parties and can be combined for larger events.

The Tuscany Room and The Dining Room feature fireplaces which can be lit during the winter and on cooler evenings.

The Tuscany Room is the largest common space and features a 27′ x 34′ hardwood dance floor, romantic lighting, and bar area.

Outdoors

The beautiful grounds are a perfect site for a wedding ceremony.

The outdoor patio off the Tuscany Room overlooks the stream which meanders at the edge of the lawn. Depending on the weather, your event can be expanded to include this area.

Ample, complimentary parking is available for all guests. Reserved parking for bridal parties or VIP guests can also be arranged in front of the restaurant.

Reserving a Date

Although there are no price differences for peak season (May-October), there are certain time constraints for Saturdays during these months. You may choose to have either an afternoon or evening party. Afternoon events may start as early in the day as you like, but must conclude by 4 PM. Evening affairs may begin no earlier than 5 PM and may continue as late as desired. If these time limits pose a particular problem, we are happy to make alternate arrangements, if possible.

From November to April, there are no particular time requirements unless a luncheon is served to your party, then, the party must conclude by 4 PM.
